Mark James

Operations Director, South Central Region

Mark James serves as Operations Director, South Central Region for Molpus Woodlands Group, which has been part of the Gresham House group since June 2026. In this role Mark has operational responsibilities for client lands In Arkansas, Louisiana, and Texas. During his 27-year tenure with Molpus he has also been responsible for the management of client properties in Alabama, Kentucky, New York, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee.

Prior to joining Molpus, Mark gained 14 years of procurement, inventory, operational and managerial experience in the forestry sector throughout the southeastern US with various timber products, consulting, and investment entities.

Mark graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science in Forestry and Wildlife. Mark currently serves as the 1st Vice-President of the Louisiana Forestry Association, while also serving on the board of directors of the Arkansas Forestry Association, the Louisiana Forestry Association, and the Texas Forestry Association. Mark holds a real estate broker’s license in Louisiana and Kentucky, serving as the primary broker for Molpus Woodlands Group in these states.
