David Johns

Operations Director, East Region

David joined The Molpus Woodlands Group in 2026 and is responsible for client properties in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia.

Before joining Molpus Woodlands group, he spent ten years as Vice-President and General Manager of Soterra, LLC overseeing properties located in Alabama, Louisiana, and Mississippi. David oversaw all operational and management functions and led a robust timber and nature-based solutions business. Prior to this, he co-owned a real estate and forestry consulting business in Mississippi and held forest management positions with Molpus Timberlands Management and Champion International, Inc.

David graduated from the University of Florida in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Forest Resources and Conservation. He is a member of the Mississippi Forestry Association.
