JACKSON, Miss. –  Dick Molpus, President of Molpus Woodlands Group, today announced the appointment of Edgar C. Marshall as the company’s new vice president of Business Development.

“Edgar’s skill set and leadership talents are a great complement to our company’s strengths,” Molpus said. “He is highly respected in the business of timberland investment.”

Marshall joins Molpus from Greif, an industrial shipping container business with considerable timberland holdings, where he served as a vice president in their European manufacturing operations. Prior to that, he was the vice president and General Manager of Soterra, LLC, Greif’s timberland subsidiary company from 2000 to 2004.

“Molpus has a long tradition of innovation and a proven track record of performance in the industry; I am excited about being a part of their team” said Marshall.

Molpus Woodlands Group acquires, manages and sells timberland as an investment vehicle for pension funds, college endowments, foundations, insurance companies and high net-worth investors. The company is currently managing more than 732,000 acres.
