Once a stand is harvested, our staff of silviculturalists and land managers develop and implement a silvicultural prescription that maximizes the growth and development of the next forest. Many of the senior members of our staff are recognized within the industry as pioneers in developing the high-intensive pine plantation silviculture used today in many parts of the southeast.

Combinations of mechanical and chemical site preparation, in conjunction with fertilization, herbaceous weed control and genetically improved seedlings are typically prescribed to regenerate a timber stand. Mid-rotation silvicultural practices that include thinning, fertilization and understory vegetation control are commonly prescribed to maximize a client's long-term investment goals.

Molpus Timberlands Management also manages a tree seedling nursery located in Elberta, Alabama, capable of producing 30 million seedlings per year. Over 50 species of tree seedlings can be custom grown for clients of the company.

Our foresters are also in place to provide land management administrative services that include managing hunting clubs, property boundary lines, ingress and egress issues, mineral interests and other land management matters.
